Streets and Canyons
The streets of New York City
Manhattan
A place that never sleeps
The night giving no space to the day
Walking 5th Avenue down from Central Park to 14th Street
And then onto to Greenwich Village to a North African restaurant where we all had dinner
Taking the road to the Grand Canyon
An entirely different experience
The highway to Oklahoma City and then on Interstate 40 to Amarillo
Albuquerque and Flagstaff
And then, on to Grand Canyon Village as have many before
Bunked up for the night, dinner a pleasing refresh
The next day, the long way down
And even further crawling back up
Had to think, though
Don’t they have elevators in Manhattan
